Alexandre Lacazette Gives an Honest Verdict Of His Arsenal Future. Alexandre Lacazette has revealed that he is ready to quit Arsenal this summer. Lacazette has had a rough season with Mikel Arteta’s team, scoring only four Premier League goals thus far.
The Frenchman is in the final three months of his contract at the Emirates Stadium, which means he could depart on a free transfer at the conclusion of the season, similar to what fellow center-forward Eddie Nketiah is doing.
Now, the 30-year-old has stated that he is in contact with a number of clubs, implying that he is on his way out of Arsenal. “I am in discussions with a lot of clubs. I am open.” He said during an interview with Canal Plus.
When asked about a possible return to the Groupama Stadium, the veteran striker stated that he is still in constant contact with the French side.
“I have never cut contact with Lyon since I left. I try to return to the club once or twice a year to see the medical staff because we are really close. Lyon knows that I am free, they have come to the information.“ He added.
“It’s a bit more complicated”, Lacazette replied when asked If he would return to his former club even if they drop out of Europe. “I want to play in Europe, it’s been a long time since I played in the Champions League, I’m missing it. It’s a little more complicated, nothing is impossible in life, but it’s a little more complicated.
