Arsenal Get Off To A Flying Start With A Victory Over Crystal Palace. Arsenal began their 2022-23 Premier League season with a 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
The visitors completely controlled the opening exchanges and rightfully took the lead when Gabriel Martinelli headed them ahead after a well-worked corner. Later in the half, Palace re-entered the game, with Odsonne Edouard forcing a fine save from Aaron Ramsdale.
Early in the second half, Eberechi Eze forced Ramsdale to make another excellent save, but despite having more possession, Palace was unable to force an equalizer, and an own goal by Marc Guehi in injury time gave Arsenal the victory.
Palace will now travel to Anfield to take on Liverpool a week from Monday, while Arsenal will host Leicester the following Saturday.
