Aubameyang Shines In Barcelona’s 4-0 Mauling Against Real Madrid. Real Madrid were humbled 4-0 by rivals Barcelona on Sunday night in an El Clasico that will leave some wondering which of the two sides is nine points clear of La Liga.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang In the 29th minute outpaced his man at the front post and diverted his header past the helpless Thibaut Courtois from close range to give Barcelona the lead. Only nine minutes later, Ronald Araujo was left unguarded from a corner to extend his side’s lead.

Xavi’s Barca upped their game in the second half and could have easily won by six or seven goals if they had been more clinical in the dying minutes. Following a clever assist from Aubameyang, former Manchester City forward Ferran Torres blasted a fantastic effort into the top corner immediately after the half-time break.
Real Madrid appeared to be lost without Karim Benzema at the helm of their attack. They altered their method several times in an attempt to give something in the last third. Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo are both superb Brazilian wingers, but neither Luka Modric nor Mariano Diaz were able to bring out the best in the young players.

Although Madrid’s problems were primarily defensive, the team’s offensive was also woeful. Carlo Ancelotti’s team was no longer pressing from the front, and instead, several Barcelona players were speeding past the flat-footed midfielders.
People will debate whether Mikel Arteta allowed Gabonese forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leave Arsenal too soon every time he scores. The striker has been in terrific form since joining Barcelona on a free transfer, and he once again demonstrated his worth on Sunday night with two superb goals and a smart assist.
Real Madrid were looking for their sixth straight win in this match, but they looked flat and contributed little as their nine-point cushion over Sevilla at the top stayed intact.
Barcelona extended their unbeaten streak to 12 games and climbed to third place in the rankings, 12 points behind Real Madrid with a game in hand.
