Barcelona & Real Madrid Could Swap Adidas And Nike. It’s possible that Barcelona and Real Madrid will switch shirt manufacturers. Since 1998, Barca and Real Madrid have had manufacturer agreements with Nike and Adidas, respectively.
Those agreements, however, are in jeopardy, with Real Madrid reportedly in talks with Adidas to update their contract, according to Sport. Los Blancos are said to have received a proposition from Nike and want to ensure that they are getting the most out of their current contract.
Barcelona, according to the same report, is now closely monitoring updates. The Blaugrana are expected to negotiate a new contract with Nike, which is set to expire in 2023.
According to Sport, Barca could switch to Adidas in a surprise switch between the two clubs if Real Madrid opts for a better deal with Nike over the German manufacturer.
