Brighton Star Leandro Trossard Reacts to “£30m” Chelsea Links. Leandro Trossard insists he hasn’t spoken to Chelsea about a potential move to Stamford Bridge.
This season, the Belgian superstar has cemented his position as a key player for Brighton. The Seagulls have held onto sixth place in the Premier League standings after recovering from a brief slump in performance following Graham Potter’s departure earlier this year.
According to reports, Potter, who recently joined Chelsea, is eager to catch up with Trossard at the London club. According to FourFourTwo, the Blues are keen to sign Trossard for £30 million.
Even the idea of Chelsea making a January offer for the winger has been discussed. Trossard claimed there hasn’t been any communication between him and the club.
Speaking to HLN, the 27-year-old said: “Chelsea have in any case not yet reported. Not with Brighton and not with me.
“I have to wait and see. I want to finish strong at Brighton and leave for Qatar with that good feeling.”
Trossard responded in a comparable manner to rumors of his transfer to Chelsea earlier this season.
“Our coach did leave for Chelsea now but speculation about me following him makes no sense,” he told Het Nieuwsblad.
“If the opportunity arises, I want to go. But I want to play and not sit on the bench.”
