Chelsea FC beat 10-man Atletico Madrid 2-0 in the second leg of the Champions League last-16 at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday. Goals  from Hakim Ziyech and Emerson Palmieri gifted The Blues a slot in the Champions League Last eight.

However, Chelsea FC boss Thomas Tuchel praised his lads for a brilliant performance and bringing back the fear factor in the Uefa Champions League. “I’m pretty sure no one wants to play against us.”

Thomas Tuchel claims his new-look Chelsea FC has the “edge and glue” to be legitimate title challengers in the Champions League.

Tuchel extended his unbeaten run at Chelsea FC to 13 games after the Blues thrashed LaLiga’s leaders 3-0 on aggregate to reach their first Champions League quarterfinal since 2014.

Tuchel, who is looking forward to Friday’s last-eight Champions League draw, stressed that Chelsea FC should have no fear in the competition and praised his team’s tenacity as key to their European chances.

“The most important is that we feel we deserve this,” said Tuchel. “The most important is that we give the feedback for the guys what they did here in terms of quality and intensity.

‘With Kante you have half a player more’

Together with Kovacic, the France midfielder put in a vintage performance to keep Atleti at bay and send the Blues through.

Following Chelsea FC Champions League victory over Atletico Madrid, Thomas Tuchel singled out N’Golo Kante for special praise, claiming that the midfielder gives the Blues an almost unfair advantage due to his untiring play.

N’Golo Kante put on one of the most memorable performances of his career, which includes two Premier League titles and a World Cup victory.

Tuchel was awestruck by the 29-year-old dynamo, who dominated from start to finish at the heart of Chelsea FC midfield.

“If you play with NG you always play with a minimum half a man more; this is unique,” said Chelsea  boss Tuchel.
