Chelsea Make Cristiano Ronaldo Transfer Decision. Chelsea have opted not to pursue Cristiano Ronaldo away from Manchester United. According to The Athletic Chelsea will not make any approaches for Ronaldo. The loan return of Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan freed up a spot in the Blues’ frontline. However, Thomas Tuchel is prepared to replace the vacancy in his frontline with his present players.
After the player’s agent, Jorge Mendes, addressed the prospect with Chelsea’s new co-owner, Todd Boehly, in Portugal last month, the manager always had the last word in the Ronaldo transfer decision.
“I would not rule it out, but right now it is not the priority,” Tuchel recently told Sky Sports about possible moves for Ronaldo and Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski.
“The priority right now is defense, it’s not a secret. From there, we need to see what’s possible.”

Raheem Sterling is poised to become a key component of Tuchel’s frontline. This week, the 27-year-old moved to Chelsea from Manchester City for a fee of £47.5 million. The agreement was announced by the club on Wednesday. He is Stamford Bridge’s first signing of the Boehly era.
Sterling has previously played as a centre-forward for Man City even though he is not a natural striker.
For the 2022–23 season, Chelsea can also rely on Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, Christian Pulisic, Mason Mount, Callum Hudson-Odoi, and perhaps even Armando Broja in attacking roles.
While everything is happening, the Blues are about to finalize a €40 million deal to sign defender Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli. They are also keeping an eye on Presnel Kimpembe of PSG and Nathan Ake of Manchester City.
