Elvis Chipezeze On The Brink Of Signing For SA Top-Flight Club. Elvis Chipezeze, who was released by demoted Baroka, could return to South Africa‘s top flight. The Zimbabwean goalie was one of nine players dismissed by the Limpopo-based team a little more than a week ago.
According to Soccer Laduma, the 32-year-old’s agents have begun talks with freshly promoted Richards Bay about a prospective transfer. Chipezeze was seen having a conversation with his agent and Richards Bay head Sifiso Biyela at a site in Gauteng.
“Elvis Chipezeze is in talks with Richards Bay to join them for the new season. He is a free agent after leaving Baroka FC. The negotiations are at an advanced stage,” said the source as per Soccer Laduma.
Should Chipezeze complete the uncomplicated transfer, Richards Bay would become the goalkeeper’s second South African team.
From Chicken Inn, the formerly-international Warriors player relocated to Baroka in 2018. As one of the club’s leaders, he served as Bakgakga’s first-choice goalkeeper until 2021.
In his final two seasons, the former international for the Warriors struggled to get into games, which led to his release.
