The 35-year-old lauded the club’s signing of Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus when speaking to talkSPORT (via HITC).

“Gabriel Jesus would be a top signing, I’ve always been impressed by him. And if they get Raphinha as well, then I might delete Twitter.”

Raphinha has established himself as a vital player for Leeds United since signing from Stade Rennais in 2020. The 25-year-old has 17 goals and 11 assists in 66 appearances for the West Yorkshire club across all competitions.

His performances at Elland Road have also earned him nine caps for Brazil since making his international debut in October 2021.

In nine games for the Selecao, he has three goals and two assists. Arsenal is not the only team interested in signing the former Sporting Lisbon player. Barcelona is reportedly interested in him, although the Blaugrana may struggle to afford his transfer fee. Tottenham Hotspur is also interested in Raphinha and has met with his representatives, according to reports.
