Karim Benzema And Vini Jr Fire Real Madrid To A 4-1 Rout Over Valencia. Real Madrid sent a La Liga championship message this weekend, defeating Valencia 4-1. Carlo Ancelotti’s side flexed their might in the Spanish capital, with star combination Karim Benzema and Vinicius Junior scoring twice apiece to secure all three points.
Neither side produced much in the first half before Benzema tucked home from the penalty spot just before halftime. Despite a sluggish start, Real Madrid moved into cruise control after the interval, with Vini Jr burying a fast double before the hour mark.
Los Che looked to comeback in the closing seconds, with Goncalo Guedes heading home after Thibaut Courtois saved his thunderous penalty kick. Any hopes of a comeback were dashed in the last minutes when Benzema measured home a fourth.
