Netflix Announce A Documentary Unpacking Luis Figo’s Transfer From Barcelona To Real Madrid. Netflix have announced the release of a new documentary about Luis Figo’s infamous 2000 move from Barcelona to Real Madrid, which will include input from the player himself, Pep Guardiola, and Florentino Perez. It will be released later this month, on August 25th.
The arrangement caused a ruckus in Catalonia and was extremely divisive. Sporting Clube de Portugal, where Figo made his senior professional debut in 1995, was the club Figo left for Barcelona.
Prior to moving to Santiago Bernabeu in the summer of 2000, he spent five successful years at Camp Nou. The Portuguese player spent the next five seasons in the capital of Spain before relocating to Italy and playing for Internazionale for the remaining four years of his professional career.
During his prime, Figo was one of the best players in the world. He had 127 caps and 32 goals for Portugal.
He’s a compelling character, thus this documentary ought to be interesting.
This looks fascinating. Netflix have announced a new documentary looking at Luis Figo's 2000 transfer from Barcelona to Real Madrid featuring contributions from the man himself, Pep Guardiola and Florentino Pérez. https://t.co/EklmWgfq6N
