Ralf Rangnick Insists His Feud With Striker Anthony Martial Is ‘Resoveld.’ Ralf Rangnick reports that his disagreement with Manchester United attacker Anthony Martial has been “resolved.” Ralf Rangnick believes that his feud with Anthony Martial has been settled following candid talks with the Frenchman.

Rangnick said that Martial, who is looking for a January move, informed him that he did not want to be included in the squad for Saturday’s game against Aston Villa. The 26-year-old reacted fiercely, writing on social media that he would never refuse to play for United or degrade the club.

Rangnick, the interim manager, said that the two met at Carrington on Sunday to address their differences and that the situation was now resolved.

‘I said after the press conference everything that needed to be said.’

‘On Sunday, I had a personal conversation with him about what happened and how I perceived the situation, and the matter is now resolved.’

Martial has not played for Manchester United since early December due to a knee injury and the uncertainty surrounding his future at Old Trafford.  He spoke with Rangnick shortly after commencing the position and informed him of his wish to quit owing to Sevilla’s interest. United, on the other hand, rejected a loan offer from the Spanish club because it can’t pay the player’s whole £200,000-per-week contract.
