Richarlison Responds To Mbappe’s Remarks On South American Football. According to Kylian Mbappe, South American football is not as developed as European football. Months after making those remarks, Richarlison wished to respond to him ahead of the World Cup. Since he is travelling to Bolivia with Brazil to play at a high elevation, the Brazilian striker claims to be better prepared than everyone else.
“Football is widespread all over the world, but it is in Europe that it is most developed.” According to Mbappe, South American football is not as developed. He drew a lot of flak since it was perceived as disdain towards teams from outside of Europe.
In an interview with Isabela Pagliari, Richarlison expressed his desire to address Mbappe’s remarks. “South American football is tough. I’m going to play at high altitude in Bolivia. As you can see, it’s difficult.”
“I was part of the national team and we suffered a lot to adapt. Everyone can say what they want… Just as there are weak teams in South America according to Mbappe, I think there are weak teams in Europe. It doesn’t matter, there’s nothing to talk about,” he added.
The PSG forward has already received a response from Abreu and Fabinho. They urged him to search for information on Wikipedia, and Richarlison urged Mbappe to consider playing in Bolivia.
