Salah Breaks Silence Following Champions League Defeat To Real Madrid. Mohamed Salah has spoken out over his team’s Champions League final loss to Real Madrid in Paris last week.
All attention was on the Egyptian winger at the Stade de France after he stated Jurgen Klopp’s side wanted ‘revenge’ after losing to Real Madrid in the 2018 final in Kiev.

Despite having more scoring chances, it was Brazilian winger Vinicius Junior’s sole goal shortly before the hour mark that settled the game, and Salah said the loss affected them.
“I cannot express in words how much we wanted to bring that trophy back to Liverpool but in the end, we couldn’t. I cannot thank the fans enough for your support. It has been a very long season but a part of me wishes the next one starts again tomorrow,” he wrote on the microblogging site Twitter.

Salah’s statements before the game have been criticized by France and Arsenal veteran Thierry Henry, who believes the former Roma player should have done his speech on the field instead.
“I always say something: don’t talk before a final. When you speak before a final, you have to win it,” Henry said on BT Sport.
