Salah’s Agent Addresses Saudi Arabia Transfer Link

According to Al Riyadiah, a Saudi publication, Al-Ittihad made an approach. The 2022/23 Saudi Pro League champions allegedly offered Salah a two-year contract worth €180 million (£155 million).

Salah’s representative, on the other hand, has put such speculations to rest on Twitter, stressing that the Egyptian would fulfil the Liverpool deal he signed the previous summer. “If we considered leaving LFC this year, we wouldn’t have renewed the contract last summer. Mohamed remains committed to LFC.” He wrote.

Salah’s current contract at Anfield, which he signed last year, expires in June 2025. Since joining Liverpool from AS Roma in 2017, the 28-year-old has been an important figure. He has 186 goals and 79 assists in 305 games across all competitions.

Liverpool will benefit from the knowledge that their best attacker will remain at the club. Three Reds players have moved to Saudi Arabia this summer. Roberto Firmino was the first to join Al Ahli on a free transfer. Jordan Henderson, the club’s previous captain, followed suit with a €14 million move to Al-Ettifaq. Fabinho is the most recent departure, having joined Al-Ittihad last week for €46.7 million.
