Sergio Aguero Aims Cheeky Dig At Cristiano Ronaldo As He Responds To Alejandro Garnacho Comment. Sergio Aguero, a former Manchester City player, made a subtle dig at Cristiano Ronaldo by commenting on Alejandro Garnacho’s Instagram post on Lionel Messi.
Garnacho, who came off the bench as Cristiano Ronaldo led Manchester United to a 3-2 victory over Norwich, gave credit to his Portuguese colleague on social media immediately after the game.
The Portuguese legend scored three goals to defeat the Canaries, who will be upset not to have won anything at Old Trafford.
Early in the first half, Ronaldo put United ahead. Ben Gibson was dispossessed of the ball in his own area by Anthony Elanga, who then squared it to the 37-year-old. He took care of the rest. With his hat-trick, Ronaldo now has 15 Premier League goals in 26 games this season.
In a season in which United players have been constantly chastised, the Portuguese attacker hasn’t always been at his dominant best. But, even at 37, he can still perform the old magic and do what he does best: transform games.
Ronaldo now has two Premier League hat-tricks in a row at Old Trafford, having scored three times in a 3-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur last month.
Taking to Instagram after the game, Ronaldo wrote: “Very happy with this win and for getting us back on track in the Premier League.
“Like I said before, individual achievements are only worth it when they help us reach our goals as a team, and the 60th hat-trick in my career is so much more important because it brought us the three points.
“Well done lads, tremendous effort from everyone. We’re not giving up, we’re fighting until the end!”
Red Devils starlet Alejandro Garnacho took to Instagram after United’s win to write, in reference to Ronaldo: “Greatest of all times…”
It didn’t take long for Aguero to get his point of view across. He replied: “Because you still haven’t played with Lionel Messi yet”, with a cool eyes emoji.
