Zim Youngster Faces Axe At Watford Three Months After Joining. Watford has released Zimbabwean striker Jimiel Chikukwa, just three months after he returned to the English Premier League (EPL).
The 19-year-old rejoined the Hornets in March after a six-month loan spell with Maidstone United, where he saw minimal action and only made one appearance as a late substitute.
The young striker had been farmed out to obtain first-team experience after joining Watford Academy in September last year following his release from Leeds United.

He had a disappointing comeback to Watford, and the club has chosen to release him for the coming season.
When Chikukwa’s contract expires in June, he will join eighteen other players from the club’s U23s squad.
